School admissions policy

 

2017/18 Admission arrangements

You can find the 2017/18 determined policies for school admissions for all Somerset Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools on the right hand side of this page. The admission arrangements were determined at a full cabinet meeting on 9 December 2015.

You can make objections to 2017/18 admissions policies for any school or academy to the schools adjudicator. This must take place between the admission authority determining their admission arrangements and the deadline for making objections, 15 May 2016. Objections may still be considered after this date but this is at the discretion of the adjudicator.

For all Voluntary Aided and Foundation schools, Free schools and Academies please visit the individual school or academy's webpage to view the admission arrangements. They must be displayed on the school website by 15 March 2016.

2016/17 Admission Arrangements
The 2016/17 determined policies for school admissions for all Somerset Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools can be found on the right hand side of this page. A formal statutory consultation took place between 16 December 2014 and 11 February 2015. The admission arrangements were then determined at a full cabinet meeting on 18 March 2015.

Objections to 2016/17 admissions policies for any school or academy can be made to the schools adjudicator. This must take place in the period between the admission authority determining their admission arrangements for 2016/17 which must take place by 15 April 2015 and the deadline for making objections which is 30 June 2015. Objections may still be considered after this date but this is at the discretion of the adjudicator.

2015/16 Admission Arrangements 
The 2015/16 determined policies for school admissions for all Somerset Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools can be found on the right hand side of this page. A formal statutory consultation took place between 19 December 2013 and 28 February 2014. The admission arrangements were then determined on 19 March 2014.
