Good Work Assembly
Each half term,
usually on the last Thursday, we hold a Good Work Assembly,
where children and teachers share the achievements of the
last half term with friends and family. This is an opportunity
for children to give their first public performance when they
are learning an instrument, to show their families new skills
they have learnt or share their 'best' work. Sports and music
certificates are given out at these special assemblies.
Each class gets their good work
cards and shares something from their learning - writing,
artwork, singing, and performances of every kind. You will
find the good work lists in the Class folders on this website.
At the end of term each class
presents an Owl to a pupil who has shown outstanding achievement.
Every class has an Owl of their own and they are returned
to school after the holidays. Attendance certificates are
presented at the end of each term, with special certificates
in the summer term for the whole year.
Some of our GWAs are held in the church and we always use
the church for the last GWA of the academic year.
Parents and friends are always welcome to join us for good
work assemblies.
