Cross Country Report

14 children represented the school at Monday's cross country relay race at King's College, Taunton.
As usual, in the last race of the Autumn term, we ran in teams of three, and we had a wide range of experienced and novice runners. By the time Mr Llewellyn arrived to start the race it was almost dusk and our last runners finished their race in the dark!

They ran really well and supported each other and cheered for everyone as they crossed the finish line.

Football Match Report

On Monday 5th November, Lydeard St Lawrence school football team played in the football league at Heathfield School, on astro turf. When we got there we all warmed up and gave our goalie, who is Josh Baker, some practice.

First we had a break, watching other teams play. Then it was our turn to play. We played Stawley and it was not an easy game. We still won 2-0. Jordan and Charlie were the ones who scored.

Then we played Norton Fitzwarren, who are our arch-enemies! We started off really well, leading 1-0, but then they came back and scored. They won the match 4-2. Jordan Goodjohn scored our goals.

After that we played Priorswood. It was a tough game at the start, but Jordan scored a cracking goal near the end. Josh Baker our goalie did some amazing saves.

Our last game was not so easy either. In the last game everybody played well. We won 1-0, with Jordan scoring our goal. When the game was over everybody was really pleased with how they did.
